Since you haven’t been thoroughly entertained for a while I thought I would give one reason why this is the case: Summer Vacation – otherwise known to me as doing nothing but having fun. It’s not that doing this website isn’t fun, but there are several things I was doing that took priority. I’ll go in sequential order:
1) Jackson, WY
This is a shot from tablerock near Jackson, WY. This hike is 12 miles round trip and puts you within a mile of the Grand Teton and 2,000 feet below it’s peak. It was a strenuous hike but one with excellent results! I took a series of shots and then ‘stitched’ them together with a Mac HP program called Photo Stitch I think. Other activities included Bar T 5 wagon ride up a canyon to dutch oven cooking and cowboy songs. The food was great and then entertainment was good. We went to granite hot springs, fished the greys, hoback, and snake river where I out-fished my brother for the tenth time in a row. He will blame it on a car sized boulder that came out of the ground and decided to ROLL over him – true story, but I basically out fished him. I know, I have resorted to shameless trash talking on the net. All in good fun. My family and I stayed with my parents in their cabin and my brother and his family came too. We watched lots of movies, ate lots of food, and had a great time. This next one is of my two boys. The younger one is leaping off the pool side after a running start.

2) Washington State
We stayed here most of the summer while I worked for my dad, hung out at the lake, watched movies, ate food, played x-box and super nintendo, read books and participated in other jovial activities. We had a reunion on my mom’s side of the family which was fun and my mom perfected the art of cooking pizza in the oven with her new pizza stone:

3) North Carolina Beach
The week before school started my family and i went to North Carolina Beach near Wilmington, NC with a couple of classmates and their families. We rented a 3 bedroom beach house, split the costs and had a lot of fun. If you are on the east then this is something I would highly recommend! i would have easily paid 2x what we did to do it again. It was fun filled sandy beaches, great waves, weather, food, body boarding, sand castling, movie watching, and game playing. It was a good end to a good summer.
Now I am back in school and so far so good. I see all these freshman walking around like they don’t know what is going on and I wonder to myself: Did I look so innocent? Probably. I bet the third years look at us D2′s and wonder: Did I look so constipated? We have a full schedule this semester and next semester is worse. Hopefully I can keep articles coming. Here is a list of classes:
- Pathology w/ lab
- Microbiology
- Restorative Dentistry III w/ lab
- Oral Surgery I
- Principles of Periodontology I (last year it was Intro to Perio)
- Dental Public Health
- Intro to Orthodontics w/ lab
All in all it doesn’t seem to bad. Definitely a little more work, but doable. I better study hard and get my moneys worth. I spent $530 bucks on books this semester. See that “Donate” button on the sidebar?
Seriously though, it will be good to get back to work and start having some more book fun. After all, the more book fun i have the closer I get to getting a job and paying off these books and vacations.
If you ever feel that I could do some more articles, please feel free to email me an article of your own. I will post just about anything except pictures of your moms. ZING! Seriously, do a report on your school, or a lab write up, vacations or just send in pictures of things you do. Send me things! Show off your talent and work!
