DrStudentDentist.com a site run by a new UoP dental student. This is a great site for those wanting to know details about UoP and some personal experiences about shadowing an oral surgeon, what to expect on the day of the DAT, and some more study hints and tips. Should I toot my own horn here? I helped inspire this person to go out and start their own blog! Yay! Good luck at UoP ‘J’!
I found another dental blog, just browsing through the blogosphere called dentalaggregate.com. I just got a chance to browse through this well designed blog and it looks great. It covers everything from basic dental care to productivity. Go see for yourself and add them to your reader.
If there are more websites out there that you know about or if you have your own website, share it in the comments section below. Otherwise, happy blogging!

Thanks Ben! Much appreciated. And yes, OMFS is the goal, at least until I see what other specialties are like. Either that’ll really cement my ambition or I’ll fall in love with something else. You mention that your dad has a practice so you’ve had some exposure to the field. Have you decided if you’ll be specializing?

I peruse dentalaggregate.com quite regularly. Unfortunately, the poor guy isn’t well at the moment so he’s not posting at the moment. If you’re interested in another dental care website that focuses on consumers then check out our site, Dental Heroes. The url is http://www.dental-plan-providers.com.

Hello my name is Destiny I live in Lancaster Pa, I currently have orthodontics started, but no longer have the means to pay for it. I pretty much just want them off, or if someone is willing to work with me that would be great to. PLEASE HELP.

Why don’t you go back to the orthodontist who is giving you your current treatment?

10 Daniel Wiens // Jan 9, 2009 at 2:03 am
Hello, from CalPoly San Luis Obispo! My name is Daniel Wiens; I am spearheading the following project. Would you mind helping us get the word out, or perhaps writing an article on the project?
A group of California Polytechnic State University seniors is spearheading a 3000 sf., two story, ‘green’ dental clinic in the developing nation of Belize. Organized by Global Outreach Mission, the dental facility will provide radically needed dental healthcare to the region of Mango Creek. The team also plans to create two mobile dental units to serve the surrounding region. Once completed with the project, Daniel Wiens (Construction Engineering Manager) and Steve Shimmin (Architect) hope to create a humanitarian non-profit organization that will encourage green building fundamentals in developing nations, through dental and other medical facilities. The team needs your help! Inspiration, financial support, dental equipment (new or used) for the facility, suggestions, and assistance in any fashion. Feel free to contact Daniel Wiens via telephone at 541.633.9928 or via email at dpwinc@gmail.com

I think dental bloggers are as few as are good dentists. However, i can talk about my dentist, Dr. Karen Guinn, an orthodontist in Pasadena CA. She has been our family dentist for some years and to me she is excellent. She has guided us out of many dental problems with great success. I love to blog for her.
