A Dental Blog for Everyone! More Dental Blogs:

DrStudentDentist.com a site run by a new UoP dental student. This is a great site for those wanting to know details about UoP and some personal experiences about shadowing an oral surgeon, what to expect on the day of the DAT, and some more study hints and tips. Should I toot my own horn here? I helped inspire this person to go out and start their own blog! Yay! Good luck at UoP ‘J’!

I found another dental blog, just browsing through the blogosphere called dentalaggregate.com. I just got a chance to browse through this well designed blog and it looks great. It covers everything from basic dental care to productivity. Go see for yourself and add them to your reader.

If there are more websites out there that you know about or if you have your own website, share it in the comments section below. Otherwise, happy blogging!

Testing a NEW Look for DMDstudent.com

DMDstudent.com is getting a new look. I have moved the blog from DMDstudent.com to DMDstudent.com/blog and will be incorporating a couple more main pages to make access to the information on this site easier to browse. Don’t worry, this blog won’t disappear anytime soon. It is just getting an overhaul. Make sure you change your bookmarks!
I don’t know how much time it will take. I currently have 25 credits of classes and I am trying to get the best grades possible in these classes, so school and family comes first. I will do a little here and a little there and hopefully a new site will be up. It would take me 3-4 long full time days to get everything going. I am going to break this time up over a few months. In the meantime, remain an avid reader.

This post is also a test to see if the email subscriptions still work. I hope no one minds.

Introduce Yourself – Comment Below

I have a little indicator on the sidebar of this website and it says I have 143 subscribers. I am curious as to who each one of you is. I could probably name 12 people from this list as people I know personally and from other dentarowing houses philadelphial blogs…so who are the rest of you? Visit www.DMDstudent.com and please introduce yourself in the comments section below as I am interested to see who my readers are. A general form could be something like:

Name: Ben, or BRJ (initials), or anonymous

Male or female?

Age?

Predental? Dental? What year?

Resident? Dentist? Assistant?

From the US? Canada? Somewhere else?

Random guy in underwear?

Ready, set, GO.
I also have some more articles on the way. As some of you know we just trudged our way through the trenches of midterm war. We finished just in time because I was running out of stamina. You can only survive on four hours of sleep a night for so long. I may be exaggerating a bit, but there were many sleepless nights taking all the tests and quizzes for radiology, removable, pharmacology, oral path, endo, pedo, anesthesia, and labs for half of these classes. All in all I survived the ordeal…but this is a story for another day. One more Friday left before spring break. Also stay tuned for another website I have been working on!

Also check out SkeletorDDS and his experience as a D1 dental student in the Windy City. Ahhh, the memories. Remember SkeletorDDS, it gets worse before it gets better! :)
